cell phones are the fastest way of communication in this day and age. whether it be picking up the phone to call someone or just simply texting, your cell phone is a must have.

who e-mails anymore? instant messaging is the way to go. it's fast and easy.

everyone needs some way to express themselves. whether its a diary, a photojournal, a blog. whatever it is, it goes here.

no one's really quite sure who actually runs this gossip blog, but everyone's fair game for being in it. whether it's her latest column or her twitter posts, she's up to date on every secret, scandal and sighting.

the great hall is in the main building, and is what most schools would call the cafeteria. it is used for other events, but for the main part it is where students get food. it offers four meals a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack. unless they board here, most students choose to get food elsewhere.

not all students board at st.beatrice academy, but the students who do need a place to stay, right? the dorms are located on the outskirts of the campus. the sports fields separate the dorms from the school buildings. the dorms are separated by gender. it is expected that you stay out of the opposite gender's dorm.

the courtyard and walkway at st.beatrice academy are quite gorgeous, considering its in the heart of manhattan. there are flower beds that line certain areas. there are also many benches and picnic tables that are set out for student use. there is even a small pond in the center.

the sports fields are located on the outskirts of the campus, rather close to central park. they separate the dorms from the school buildings and provide great space for the many different sports teams the school offers.

there are three academic buildings all interconnected. the first two buildings are for the younger students and the last building is where all the secondary students attend classes. the classes are separated by subject and placed on different floors.

the arts building is a new addition to the school. it is for both classes and after school activities that have to do with the arts, such as art, music, theater, dance and film.

the rec building consists of an indoor pool and fitness center. it is occasionally used for the gym classes, but for the most part is open to the students to use. the pool is located on the bottom floor, and the upper floors are different fitness equipment as well as an indoor track.

nyu has many libraries, the bobst library being the largest. all of the libraries are a great place to study or even to just read.

there are tons of different cafe's and restaurants on campus. there's everything from a simple coffee joint to fine french cuisine.

the campus includes five centers throughout manhattan and various different schools within the university.

dorms are available for most the students at nyu. there are very few who live off campus. the dorms are scattered across campus, depending one what courses you are taking.

the campus bookstore is where you can go for all your needs. the title is a bit misleading, since you can get much more than your textbooks there. you can buy everything from school apparel to five-hour energy drinks.

every year the roberts family hosts an event for their family reunion. this year however, they have invited everyone to attend a charity ball. so grab a date, pick a dress.

after all, new york city is the city that never sleeps. there's always something going on at night, whether you head out to the clubs, bars, concerts or just the late night cafes.

there are so many places to eat in manhattan. no matter what type of cuisine you're looking for, it will have it.

manhattan is one of the best shopping areas in the world. with a large variety in the types of stores you're sure to find what you're looking for.

obviously here is where you come if you are hurt or sick and need tending to.

central park is 1.32 square miles of public park. you can walk around, take a horse and carriage, ice skate or go to one of the many festivals and performances that are held there each year.

harlem is home to many historical landmarks relating to the civil rights movement. the apollo theater can also be found here.

the upper west side is a primarily residential and commercial area. it has more artistic, cultural workers compared to the upper east side.

the upper east side was once known as the silk stocking district. it is now the location of some of the most expensive houses in the U.S.

midtown includes the theater district, rockefeller center, time's square, hell's kitchen and madison square.

greenwich village, or "the village" is a mainly residential area. the majority of the NYU campus resides here and you can also find washington square park here.

SoHo, south of houston street, is generally associated with the arts. it's a pretty big fashion scene, and has some of the best shopping.

NoLIta and little italy is pretty self explanatory. it is home to primarily italians, and provides a mini jump into the italian culture.

china town is home to, you guessed it, primarily chinese citizens. it also provides great chinese cuisine.

TriBeCa used to be a industrial warehouse district. now many of those warehouses have been converted into lofts and apartments. it is also home to the tribeca film festival.

the title is pretty self explanatory. here is where you post any thread that only needs one post. perhaps your character learns important news, interacts with family or anything like that. whatever it be, this is where it goes.
