overall • raine emilia darrison was born on november 2nd to katelynn and matthew darrison, two newly-weds. they weren't a wealthy family but they got by pretty well. in the beginning, raine was like any other spoiled girl. daddy's little girl, actually. she had her father completely and undeniably wrapped around her finger. for the first eleven years of her life, at least. she had everything a girl could possibly want, minus the shetland pony. she was popular in school and she was quite the little charmer.
then came along mckenzie, or kenz as raine often calls her. kenz or kenzington, either one. when raine first heard the news that her mum was pregnant, she was dismayed. she had never really hoped for a younger sister but there was, of course, nothing she could do about it so she simply sucked it up and waited patiently for the day to arrive. eight months later, the little devil was born. and just like any other sibling rivalry, raine made it her job to annoy kenzie to no end.
the years passed and raine grew more mature, kenzie grew older, katelynn grew more laid-back and matthew only grew ill. raine was eighteen when her father passed away with pancreas cancer, one of the many reasons why she is so close to mckenzie these days. despite how rude raine can act towards her little sister, she adores mckenzie with all her heart. katelynn was shattered, but raine's mum had always been a fighter. katelynn stayed strong for her two young thriving daughters but she would always mourn for her deceased husband. raine was as well devastated but it was when mckenzie desperately cried out for her father everytime she arrived home from school which destroyed her heart.
time passes and wounds heal. the family of three slowly but surely got over the death of the beloved matthew darrison but he would always remain in their hearts. raine graduated from high school and attended some community college, seeing as she could not afford to go to some top-notch school such as yale. while in college, raine had been intent on her dream to become a model but she threw her dream away and instead worked at some bar, where she started off as a waitress and then slowly began to work her way up the ladder where she is now one of the bartenders. if you're one of raine's good friends - she'll most likely give you a free drink, just for the heck of it.
