tell me what you want girl, i'll be there to hold you. CAUSE EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY SOMETIMES. they say there is something irresistible about a lost cause. mason had no clue who the hell 'they' where, but damn skippy they where right. the lean boy had been known for his womanizing ways. he could go from girl to girl, and usually he was the one who came out smiling. even if the chick ended it, he never really cared. she was just another girl, right? right. her best friend would always be there waiting for her turn anyways. so this made mason a bit of a player, a man whore. he didn't care. this time around, this celeste sommers, it was different. she wasn't like the others, the ones that just threw themselves at him. she was hard to get; and mason found it exceptionally sexy.
there was also something about her that he couldn't deny. she was tiny, slight. her eyes where electric blue, her hair a soft blond. she looked innocent and sweet. she didn't wear a lot of makeup, but she somehow managed to be beautiful anyways. and that was exactly what made him so darn crazy about this girl. he walked through the fields between the dorm buildings, one hand stuff in his 'varsity soccer 2008' sweat shirt, the other clutching the handle of his guitar case. the pouring rain had caused him have his head ducked under his hood, thus making him look like a huge creep. great, this night was going just great. the boy wasn't quite sure just what he was getting himself into; most likely a big fat pile of rejection. didn't matter though, he was going to do this anyways.
while he was walking, lost in his thoughts of wither or not this was the worst idea he had ever had, he suddenly found himself on the ground, in a puddle, with a sharp pain in his tail bone. "SHIT!" he yelled out into the darkness, his pants know soaked. oh happy day, he was about to profess his feelings for celeste sommers, and it looked like her pissed himself. classy. he pulled himself back up to his feet, muttered some curses under his breathe, and highly considered turning around. she was probably just going to call the cops on him and then reject him to his face on top of it, anyways. but, the boy was meant to chase. he could so this.
almost reaching the dorm, he found a few small pebbles around on the road, and grasped them in his hand, making a fist around them. he was almost certain her window was the one on the end, third row. he closed his eyes, took a deep breathe, and almost threw...when he suddenly let all the pebbles fall out of his hand, hitting the ground. the noise was drowned out by a huge lightening, fallowed by thunder, the assumed noise making mason jump a little. he sighed, defeated, knowing the tossing rocks at her window deal wasn't going to cut it. he'd probably...break a window or something. instead, he tried to pick his dignity back up, and made his way inside, and up the stairs, to the dorm was certain was her's. being a womanizing whore, he knew the girls dorms a lot better then he should. he slowly got to celeste's door, butterflies of his stomach certainly intact. he sighed, gathered his courage, and knocked on the door.
[this is poop. and short. they'll get better i swearrrr.]

celeste sommers was a hopeless romantic. everyone had to know that. she dreamed of having the fairytale love story portrayed in so many movies but did she ever find it? of course not, for reasons unknown to her. she wanted the kind of love story that took part in movies such as the notebook and how to lose a guy in ten days. the girl was definitely a dreamer, that was for sure but there were always time when she would have a moment of self-doubt. what if she wasn't made to find love? what if she would grow up to be utterly and completely loveless? oh man, she really hoped that wasn't the case.
as the blonde turned away from her laptop, thoughts of mason smith engulfed her head. she didn't know him, but he knew her - strange as it was, seeing as they hardly speak. and, honestly, she didn't want to think too much of it. it wasn't wise to jump to conclusions that maybe he was.. well, y'know, stalking her or something that fell in that category. maybe it was unwise that she was inviting him over to her place, where she was alone. well, she had her numerous stack of stuffed animals that were placed on her bed but that was it. it would just be her and mason, alone. oh geez.
but he seemed harmless. or, at least, celeste hoped he was. sure, he could be a bit creepy at times but... there was something about him that attracted her to him. and, okay, she'll just admit it. she liked him, but only by a small bit. he was humorous, which was always a plus and he made her laugh. not only that but he wasn't like all the other guys that she met. most of them would act like complete douchebags and shower her with compliments just to get in her pants. mason.. he was a different story. he was better than that. okay, sure, he used the corniest pick-up lines on her such as that parking ticket one but.. it was cute.
the sound of thunder snapped her out of her trance. celeste frowned, hating the fact that she was alone when it was thundering outside. the girl was absolutely terrified of thunderstorms. to be honest, she was nearly scared of everything. she gathered herself to her feet, closing the laptop and pacing around the room. mason should've been here by now. blue eyes danced over to the clock situated above her door frame. with a tremulous sigh, she swiveled to face her window to gaze at the rain that was beginning to pour down from dismal clouds.
she considered calling him but the sound of knocking contradicted that thought. celeste ran her fingers through her hair once to smooth it out and made her way to the door to open it. the moment she opened it, a smile tugged at the corners of her lips and she stifled a quick burst of laughter. mason was soaked, to the bone. poor guy. chuckling under her breath, she reached out and pulled him into her room, kicking the door shut behind her. the girl appraised him for a quick second, the smile still in tact. "did you have fun walking over here in the rain?" she asked, poking fun at him. still grinning, she strolled away from him and moved about her room, picking up her underwear and bras to hide them from mason's view. c'mon, that was just embarrassing. she didn't want him seeing what she wore under her clothes. after she was finished, she turned back to him, her eyes flickering to his guitar case for a split second before returning to his face, the smile still thriving on her lips. "you're really going to sing for me? i thought you were joking." and there it was. the dizzy feeling in her head and the anxious churning in her stomach. damn mason smith and his charming ways.
notes this sucks. xD it'll get better, i promise. music sink or swim - tyrone wells <3
